Job summary

Riverwood Center in Benton Harbor, Michigan, seeks a registered nurse to join our team delivering coordinated care for behavioral health and developmental needs. You will complete assessments, administer medications and injections, and document in the electronic health record.

Work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate services, educate patients and families on wellness and medications, and assist in planning and advocacy to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited nursing education program.
• Licensed by the Michigan Department of Commerce or Professional Regulation as a Registered Nurse.
• One to two years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, preferred experience working with individuals with mental illness.
• Must possess excellent computer and interpersonal skills, punctuality, ability to organize and manage several projects/tasks simultaneously and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments, administers screenings, injections, medications, and documents in the electronic health record.
• Collaborates with team and external providers to ensures coordination and monitoring of medical and behavioral health services.
• Provides education on medication, wellness and health issues to consumers, providers, family members and staff.
• Assists in planning, linking, advocacy
