Job summary
Bluebonnet Trails Community Services is seeking a Relief Pool Registered Nurse to serve at the Seguin Diversion Center. The RN acts as Charge Nurse on the unit, performing triage, assessments, medication administration, and care planning for patients with psychiatric and medical concerns.
Requirements include Texas RN license and at least 2 years in behavioral health or substance use. Strong communication, teamwork, and willingness to work varied shifts with pay differentials are essential.
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in behavioral health or substance use.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Older/newer patients and diverse populations require strong communication.
Responsibilities
- Nursing triage and assessment on admission.
- Medication administration and monitoring.
- Education regarding diagnosis to patients and families.
- RN delegation and training to support staff.
- Develop nursing care plans and communicate findings with the treatment team.
