Job summary

Peak View Behavioral Health is hiring a Psychiatric Registered Nurse for our Colorado Springs facility. The role provides nursing care to patients, oversees LPNs/CNAs, and develops individualized care plans. Shifts include day and night, 7:00–7:00, with base pay of $40–$45 per hour and weekend differentials.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience in clinical area; behavioral health preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and administration procedures.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required; first aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs and developing nursing care plans.
• Transcribes and reviews provider orders accurately; ensures required elements are present.
• Administers medications per order with patient identifiers.
• Documents nursing care and communicates changes to the treatment team.
• Ensures thorough patient safety, education for patients and families, and proper hand-off reports.
