Job summary

Douglas County Nebraska is seeking a skilled RN to provide professional psychiatric nursing care to acutely and chronically ill patients in a secure treatment setting. You will support the supervisor by training staff and coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting patient status, and educating patients and families about treatment plans while ensuring safety and compliance with policies and laws.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, Diploma or BSN in nursing required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Nebraska or compact state.
• BLS/CPR certification and CPI training within 6 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license and own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional psychiatric nursing care to acutely and chronically ill patients.
• Administer medication therapy and monitor treatment progress.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and medications.
