Douglas County Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) seeks an incumbent to assist with basic nursing care under the direction of a Psychiatric Registered Nurse or designee. The role focuses on patient comfort, safety, and adherence to established policies within a secure psychiatric facility.

You will perform clinical activities, record vital signs, monitor nutrition, and participate in therapeutic activities while maintaining professional relationships with clients and staff.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training within 6 months of hire required.
• Pre-employment criminal record check, conditional offer drug screen and physical assessment required.
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted for requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilidades

• Perform clinical activities based on patient treatment plan.
• Establish and maintain effective work relationships with clients, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
• Attend shift report meetings and provide continuity of care.
• Obtain, document, and chart patients’ vital signs and other data.
• Observe psychosocial interactions and report changes to supervisor.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities and deescalate situations.
• Supervise patients’ personal care routines and monitor nutrition.
