Job summary

Mercy Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Psychiatric unit at Lourdes Hospital. The role emphasizes direct patient care, safety, and therapeutic environments within a faith-based health system in the United States.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (preferred), current RN licensure, and BLS (ACLS acceptable in place of BLS). At least 1 year of professional RN experience, especially in behavioral health, is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required or eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky
• BLS required (ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS)
• One year of professional RN experience in behavioral health preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per plan of care and nursing scope
• Assess and document patient status; monitor progress and respond to changes
• Administer medications, insulin, IV fluids; document thoroughly
• Inspect wounds, change dressings, assist with hygiene
• Use interviewing skills to gather information for treatment planning
• Collaborate with providers and team to achieve outcomes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
