Job summary

Mercy Health's Behavioral Health RN position at St. Charles Hospital is a nursing role focused on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a BSN preferred, an active RN license, and at least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience. You will provide direct care, administer meds, document care in EPIC, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and safe, therapeutic patient environments.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; current RN licensure in the state
• 1 year of professional experience as an RN, preferably in behavioral health
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS may be required or preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care according to the provider's plan of care while monitoring progress
• Assess and document patient conditions and report changes as needed
• Administer medications, insulin, and IV fluids with thorough documentation
• Inspect and care for wounds, change dressings and assist with personal hygiene
• Apply interview techniques to gather information for planning and implementing treatment
• Assess patient for further injuries and deliver appropriate treatments
• Collaborate with providers, aides, and allied health professionals to ensure patient outcomes
• Perform other duties as assigned
