VCU Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse I–III in its ambulatory division. The role delivers age-appropriate nursing care within an integrated plan, including medication administration and patient education.

Clin I–III encompass varied responsibilities, leadership at the unit level, and ongoing education. Licensure in Virginia or a eligible/compact state is required, with shifts including weekends and holidays as part of rotation.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state licensure is required.
• Clin II requires 12–24 months RN experience; Clin III requires 3 years of clinical experience.
• Diploma or Associate Degree in nursing is required; all RNs without a Bachelor's must enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years and complete within five years.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred; Clin III certification in a specialty area is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct, age-specific care to patients according to medical orders and an integrated plan of care.
• Safely administers prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and interactions.
• Delivers education, assumes leadership responsibilities at unit level, and guides other staff as needed.
• Organizes work, delegates tasks, and supervises nurses and care partners to meet unit requirements.

RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state Licensure

Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing

RN to BSN within 2 years if not BSN

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Certification in specialty area (Clin III)
