Job summary

Renown Health in Reno, NV is seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse for the Alert Team. This per diem, non-benefited position supports assessment, planning and evaluation across adolescent to geriatric patients within a team-based care model.

Travel to other health-system sites may be required when in-person assessments are needed. The role emphasizes behavioral health and chemical dependency care, with a focus on empowering clients and coordinating referrals to community resources.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in applying behavioral health / chemical dependency clinical care and recovery services to psychiatric and/or chemical dependency settings.
• 12-step expertise preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Registered Nurse license.
• Computer skills to complete online learning requirements and access policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, planning and evaluation for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients within a team-based framework.
• Coordinate referrals to internal and external resources and empower clients to access services.
• Communicate findings effectively both verbally and in writing.
• May require travel to other sites within the health system for in-person assessments when virtual evaluation is not feasible.
