Centennial Peaks Hospital in Louisville, CO, part of Universal Health Services, invites Registered Nurses to join a 104-bed psychiatric unit serving the Denver-metro area. New grads welcome; sign-on bonus and student loan repayment opportunities are available to eligible full-time applicants.

The hospital offers a supportive nursing department, Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient, and Partial Hospitalization Programs within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in Colorado (or eligible to receive or renew).
• BSN preferred.
• One-year psychiatric experience in mental health nursing, preferred.
• Ability to provide therapeutic care to patients with a variety of mental health needs.
• Knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships, age growth, limit setting, crisis and behavior management.
• Current CPR BLS certification through American Heart Association, or ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in accordance with the nursing process and treatment plan.
• Night Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7p-7:30a; weekend shifts required; duties on a multi-disciplinary team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital.The Registered Nurse (RN) prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care.The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit.

Night Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7p-7:30a; 2 weekend shifts (4 monthly) per pay period REQUIRED. For overnights this is Fri, Sat, and/or Sun

This position is eligible for our generous shift differentials:Weekend Day (Sat-Sun) $2/hr, Evening (Mon-Thurs) $3.25/hr, Weekend Evening (Fri-Sun) $5.00/hr, Night (Mon-Thurs) $5.00/hr, Weekend Night (Fri-Sun) $7.00/hr. *must work three and a half hours (3.5 hours) into a shift to qualify for shift differential.
