Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Piscataway, NJ. This role requires a current RN license, offers 40 hours per week, and pays $2,634 per week.

You will perform assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for mental health and substance use disorders, while educating patients and coordinating care with other professionals to promote well‑being.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
• One year of psych experience preferred
• PMH-BC certification preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders.
• Coordinate patient care and work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes.

The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well‑being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:
