Charting System: Epic

Available Shifts

• Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• 36/48-hour schedules available
• Every other weekend required

About the Facility

Central Regional Hospital (CRH) is the largest of North Carolina's three state psychiatric hospitals and is located just outside the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill area. The facility has a strong track record of extending travelers who perform well throughout their assignments.

Orientation & Onboarding

• Mandatory 2-4 week orientation
• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Travelers will move to their assigned shift after orientation completion
• No call-outs or RTO permitted during orientation
• Orientation always begins on day shift

Important Assignment Details

• Maximum of 3 days RTO approved during the entire contract
• Unit assignment will be provided after offer acceptance
• Candidate must be available to attend pre-employment screening if offered
• Pre-employment screenings are held weekly on:
• Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
• 10:00 AM or 1:30 PM

Pay Package Options

Local RN

• Pay Rate: $48/hr
• Weekly Gross: $1,728

Travel RN (40 Hours)

• Taxable Rate: $25/hr
• Meals Stipend: $476/week
• Housing Stipend: $770/week
• Weekly Gross Package: $2,146

Travel RN (36 Hours or 36/48 Schedule)

• Taxable Rate: $23/hr
• Meals Stipend: $476/week
• Housing Stipend: $770/week
• Weekly Gross Package: $2,074

The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
• One year of psych experience preferred
• PMH-BC certification preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
