Indian Health Service seeks a Psychiatric Mental Health NP to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care within an on-site health setting. The role includes evaluating patients, diagnosing conditions, prescribing psychotropic meds, and coordinating care with physicians, nurses, and social services.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, monitor responses, and maintain compliant documentation. Licensure as a PMHNP and eligibility for IHS practice are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level nursing degree with PMHNP specialization and licensure.
• Experience performing psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Ability to prescribe and manage psychotropic medications within scope.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations across the lifespan.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications and interpret tests.
• Assess and manage psychiatric emergencies and high-risk presentations.
• Develop evidence-based, culturally responsive treatment plans.
• Provide psychiatric consultation to interdisciplinary teams and ensure proper documentation.
