Job summary

Oceans Healthcare seeks a Driver to provide transportation services for patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders. The driver will ensure safety, comply with regulations, and coordinate pickups and drop-offs with the Transportation Coordinator. Prior inpatient psychiatric exposure is preferred and CPR/de-escalation training is required.

The role involves traveling up to 50% of the time and requires a high school diploma or equivalent and ability to work under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• CPR certification and Oceans-approved de-escalation training required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from appointments and activities.
• Monitor patient safety and provide supervision as directed by licensed staff.
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to safety regulations and policies.
• Document observations and transportation details for nursing staff and coordinators.
• Assist with mobility needs as required and communicate patient needs promptly.
