Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a House Supervisor for the Neuropsychiatric Hospital to lead nursing care delivery during off hours and weekends. You will supervise units, coordinate patient flow, and support clinical operations while ensuring high standards of care.

The role requires at least 1 year in psychiatric patient care, California RN license, and BSN. BLS certification is essential, with psychiatry RN certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in direct patient care in psychiatric inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Knowledge of JCAHO and other regulatory requirements in acute care.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Supervisory experience in inpatient settings, preferably psychiatry.
• Current California RN license and BLS certification.
• BSN required; psychiatry certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all management functions related to patient care during off hours and weekends.
• Direct patient care activities and monitor bed placement across units.
• Provide clinical support to units and participate in performance improvement projects.
• Ensure adherence to standards of care and nursing practice across the hospital.
