Job summary

Veracity Ventures Inc. seeks a Nursing Director - Psychiatry to provide clinical and operational leadership for psychiatric nursing and patient care services within a hospital environment.

The role partners with the Chief Nursing Officer to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing practice across units, while maintaining 24/7 accountability for assigned areas. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in psychiatric nursing leadership, a current RN license, CPR certification, and prior nursing

Qualifications

• Active and current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 5 years of Psychiatric Nursing Leadership experience.
• Previous nursing management or leadership experience in a hospital environment.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for psychiatric nursing services.
• Partner with the CNO to support high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing practice across assigned psychiatric units.
• Maintain 24/7 accountability for assigned departments and patient care areas.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Promote staff competency, professional development, and clinical excellence.
• Monitor patient safety, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices.
• Identify clinical and operational improvement opportunities.
• Serve as a professional role model and advocate for the nursing profession.
• Foster effective communication and a collaborative working environment.
