The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant II for the 7RC unit in Iowa City. The role involves supporting the Nursing team under RN supervision on a 25-bed, patient-centered unit that uses evidence-based practices such as dialectical behavior therapy, CBT, and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities include patient care, documentation, safety, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Formación

• One year experience as a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant I or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of the Psychiatric Nursing Assistant Training Program.
• Background check and credential/education verification required.

Responsabilidades

• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and the care team.
• Documents patient behavior for RN review in a factual, legible manner.
• Maintains patient safety and provides assistance with activities of daily living.
• Take temperature, pulse and blood pressure; provide basic CPR as needed.
• Transport patients and equipment; stock patient rooms and unit.
