Healthcare Staffing Professionals is seeking a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant to work in a hospital setting in Terrell, TX. The role supports patient care under the supervision of the Nursing Shift Leader and involves care for hospitalized psychiatric patients.

The position features a 6-month contract with potential extension and a pay rate of $23.38/hr, with shifts including 6:45am–3:15pm, 2:45pm–11:15pm, 11:00pm–7:00am (Sunday-Saturday).

Qualifications

• Proven experience as psychiatric mental health tech/aide.
• Willing to work at a mental health facility with patients that may have a dual diagnosis.
• Must follow facility rules, immunization requirements.
• Submit to facility drug test and fingerprinting.
• Maintain CPR/BLS certification while providing services at Terrell State Hospital.
• CPR certifications kept on file with contracting office.
• All certifications current during service at the hospital.

Job description

Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant to work in a hospital setting located in Terrell, TX. The Psychiatric Nursing Assistant provides various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Nursing Shift Leader.

Pay Rate: $23.38/hr

Location: Terrell, TX

Shift Availability: 6:45am – 3:15pm | 2:45pm - 11:15pm | 11:00pm – 7:00am | Sunday-Saturday

Contract Length: 6 months with option to extend

Job Duties:

• Provide care for hospitalized psychiatric patients
• Assist with daily living activities
• Monitor Vital signs
• Monitoring for safety and responding to emergencies
• Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS standards, TSH Policy and Directives and facility Standards, Rules and Directives

Requirements:

• Must have proven experience as a psychiatric mental health tech/aide.
• Must be willing to work at a mental health facility with patients that may have a dual diagnosis.
• Must abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of the facility
• Must comply with facility immunization requirements
• Must submit to facility required drug test
• Must submit to facility required fingerprinting
• Must complete facility and facility required training
• Must be certified by the American Heart Association –BLS in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain that certification while providing services at the Terrell State Hospital.
• Copies of CPR certifications must be kept on file with TSH's Contracting office.
• All certifications must be current and remain as such while providing services at the Terrell State Hospital.
• Basic Life: $25,000 (100% employer paid)
• Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) : $25,000 (100% employer paid)
