The position offers flexible part-time hours (20 hours/week) with potential to move to full-time; compensation ranges include $70K–$77K for part-time and $134K–$154K for full-time, with documentation that can be completed remotely where

Qualifications

• Current NYS Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license required.
• 1+ year of experience working with youth and families preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Valid and active NYS driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans with the ACT team.
• Provide developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to youth and families.
• Educate youth and caregivers on medications, side effects, and adherence.
• Participate in team meetings and case consultations.
• Coordinate care with families, schools, primary care providers, and community supports.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with NYS OMH requirements.

About The Opportunity

Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join its Otsego County Youth ACT Team.

The program provides intensive clinical treatment and support to youth ages 10–20 who may have experienced challenges with traditional mental health treatment models. The team uses a youth-guided and family-driven approach focused on mental health recovery and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans with the ACT team
• Provide developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed care
• Provide crisis intervention and support to youth and families
• Educate youth and caregivers on medications, side effects, and adherence
