Who we're looking for

Forge Health seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our multi‑disciplinary team in New York. The ideal candidate will have experience treating clients with substance use disorders as well as general psychiatric disorders. The role can be performed in person at our New York facilities (Rego Park, Syosset, or Hauppauge) or remotely. The position is part time (8–24 hours per week) with a typical compensation range of $75–$95 per hour, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

• Provide psychiatric care, including admission evaluations, follow‑ups, and urgent and emergent consultations for general psychiatry and substance use disorder.
• Consult with non‑prescribing mental health staff and medical staff about diagnosis, treatment, and the need for psychiatric medication.
• Participate in team meetings with the treatment staff.
• Regularly contribute to the creation and review of individual treatment plans for patients.
• Document all activities in the electronic medical record in a timely, concise, and clear manner.

Key qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• 3+ years’ experience working with substance use disorders and dual diagnosis/co‑occurring conditions.
• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York and current American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) PMHNP certification.
• Current DEA number.
