Job summary

CenterPointe Hospital, part of Acadia Healthcare in Missouri, is hiring a Full Time Experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join the behavioral health team. The NP will perform psychiatric evaluations and treatment under supervision of the Medical Director for adolescents, adults and seniors.

Requirements include a Master’s in Nursing, NP program, board certification, and at least 1 year of practice; addiction experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program required.
• Clinical experience with the facility's patient population.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
• Participate in the formulation of patient Master Treatment Plan.
• Assess physical and psychiatric health and formulate measures to meet patient needs.
• Chart clinical observations and treatments in required time.
• Communicate with physicians and staff to provide quality care.
• Encourage family involvement and respond to educational needs.
• Provide services per state NP guidelines and on-call as directed.
• May order, perform or interpret lab tests and prescribe medications.
