Job summary

CenterPointe Hospital in St. Charles, MO, is seeking a full-time, experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our behavioral health team serving adolescents, adults, and seniors on a serene 20-acre campus along the Missouri River.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s in Nursing with an NP program, have at least 1 year of NP practice, board certification, and preference for addiction experience. You will diagnose, treat, participate in Master Treatment Plans, and provide on-call

Qualifications

Master's in Nursing and NP program required.
Clinical experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner required (minimum 1 year).
Experience in addiction highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
Participate in the formulation of patient Master Treatment Plan.
Assess physical and psychiatric health of patient and formulate measures to meet patient needs.
Chart clinical observation and treatments as required by facility guidelines.
Communicate with physicians and other staff to provide quality care within guidelines.
Encourage family involvement in patient care and address educational needs.
Support and follow hospital policies, regulatory requirements and medical staff bylaws.
Provide on-call responsibilities on scheduled basis.
May order, perform or interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medication.
Demonstrate professionalism and prioritize patient safety.
