Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of employment.
• DEA number and CPR certification required.
• De-escalation training helpful.
• Experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric and medical services to assigned patients.
• Complete psychiatric evaluations within 24 hours of admission and H&Ps within 24 hours.
• Document all patient consultations in the EMR.
• Oversee medication regimens considering patient history and comorbidities.
• Collaborate with treatment team to plan and implement care.
• Communicate risks and benefits of psychiatric medications to patients.
