Job summary

Infinity Mental Health in Upper Marlboro, MD seeks a passionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team. The role focuses on evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions with evidence-based practice.

You will prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, develop individualized plans, document in the EHR, and coordinate care with therapists and physicians in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• MD PMHNP license in Maryland.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with PMH specialization.
• Active DEA license with prescriptive authority in Maryland.
• Experience in psychiatric/mental health care settings.
• Proficiency with EHR systems.
• Patient-centered and collaborative approach to care.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments.
• Diagnose and treat depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans with the care team.
• Provide medication management follow-up and adjust treatment as needed.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• Coordinate care with therapists and primary care providers.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for new and existing patients
• Diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with evidence-based practices
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
• Provide medication management follow-up appointments and adjust treatment as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Coordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, and other specialists as appropriate

Requirements:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland (PMHNP required)
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a Psychiatric Mental Health specialization
• Active DEA license and prescriptive authority in Maryland
• Experience in psychiatric or mental health care settings
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, empathetic approach to care
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
