Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a full-time role at NH State Prison for Men in Concord, NH.

The position focuses on comprehensive psychiatric care and collaboration with medical, nursing, and mental health staff to support inmate health and recovery. You will diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions, manage medications, order tests, and document all care in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited NP program.
• Active unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in state of practice.
• Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification required.
• Active DEA license required at start date.
• Active CPR certification required at start date.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
• Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications and monitoring response.
• Ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting labs for ongoing treatment.
• Providing education and counseling on mental health, medications, and wellness.
• Documenting clinical activity in the EMR using SOAP format.
• Participating in staff education and facility rounds.
• Providing consultation and support to mental health and nursing personnel.
