Job summary
Compass Health Center is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing PHP/IOP team in Maryland. You will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, prescribe medications when indicated, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor individualized treatment plans for patients in crisis and ongoing care.
Ideal candidates hold PMHNP certification, Maryland APRN licensure, prescriptive authority, and a DEA license, with 2+ years of prescribing experience and a
Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for Maryland APRN licensure and prescriptive authority.
- Board certification in Psychiatry as PMHNP (ANCC).
- DNP or MSN in nursing from an accredited program.
- DEA license and RN license in Maryland.
- Experience with patients in crisis and crisis intervention.
- 2+ years of prescribing experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial psychiatric evaluation and determine diagnosis and plan of care.
- Prescribe and adjust medications as indicated within an interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate with treatment team.
- Document encounters timely and accurately.
- Educate patients and families about condition and care.
- Collaborate with team to ensure quality of care.
- Maintain continuing education and professional development.
