Job summary

Bloomington Meadows Hospital in Bloomington, IN, seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis and care planning, and to prescribe treatments for mental health and substance use disorders. May conduct Utilization Review calls and work within the partial hospitalization program. Requires active Indiana RN license and NP/CNS licensure, with 2+ years in psychiatric care.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Indiana.
• Licensed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner in Indiana.
• At least two years of direct psychiatric/mental health nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, and care planning.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for mental health and/or substance issues.
• May perform Utilization Review calls and participate in the partial hospitalization program.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care.
