Job summary

Southridge Behavioral Hospital, a facility partnered with Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, is hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Technician in Byron Center, MI. Responsibilities include assessing patient safety, implementing treatment plans, assisting with personal hygiene, and participating in therapeutic activities.

Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's in Psychology or Human Services is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Human Services preferred but not required.
• CPR certification required or obtainable after hire.
• Experience as a psychiatric technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess safety and emotional needs of patients.
• Follow treatment plans and provide individualized care.
• Assist patients with grooming and personal hygiene.
• Participate in groups and activities for patient needs.
• Maintain therapeutic rapport and de-escalation as needed.
• Support safe milieu and document patient rounds every 15 minutes.
• Assist RN with admissions/discharges, vitals, and orientation.
