Job Summary: Geisinger Emergency Psychiatry and Consult Liaison Service
Geisinger is seeking candidates to participate in the development and deployment of an innovative hub and spoke consult model. We are deploying a central hub of Emergency Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry providers to provide consult services through both onsite and telemedicine interventions. The use of the hub-and-spoke delivery design sets the stage for Geisinger to cast a vital psychiatric lifeline to neighboring rural hospitals, affording relatively seamless integration and assimilation of partner facilities into its network, ensuring continuity of services in remote regions.
This consult liaison role will work with a team of providers to provide service to 6 locations in the Geisinger service area. The goal is to offer a collaborative work environment while serving a broad variety of patients in various inpatient and emergency department settings.
Preference is onsite practice; however, open to telemedicine or hybrid role.
Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)
