Inpatient Psychiatry - Adult (Onsite only)

Job Duties

Geisinger and Acadia Healthcare have formed a joint venture partnership to build and operate two behavioral health facilities, one in each of its Central and Northeast Pennsylvania regions. These facilities will serve as acute care hubs of an enterprise system of behavioral health care.

Facilities:

• Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Northeast - Opened: August 2023
• Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Danville - Opening: Q2 2025

Key Points:

• Acadia serves as joint venture facility administrator.
• Both facilities will be contemporary, freestanding health care facilities designed and constructed with advanced quality and safety approaches.
• The Centers will serve both adult and pediatric populations.
• Services include Partial Hospitalization Programs, Intensive Outpatient Programs, and Brain Stimulation Therapy.
• Common psychiatric diagnoses treated include, but are not limited to: Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma-Related Disorders, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, and Substance Use Disorders.
• Initial licensing for 96 inpatient beds, with capacity to add 48 beds in the future.
• Each facility will be approximately 72,000 square feet.
• Facilities will utilize EPIC for electronic medical records.

Work is typically performed in a clinical and office environment. The role involves fulfilling all job-specific obligations and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. Position Details

Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)

Experience: Relevant clinical experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania
