Location: Sarasota, FL

Position: Full-Time & Permanent

Seeking a BE/BC Psychiatrist to join a behavioral health facility in Florida.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct psychiatric evaluations for referred clients to meet clinical and administrative requirements, including psychiatric disability determination evaluations (SSI), and prepare necessary reports.
2. Evaluate clients for medication management, prescribe medications when appropriate, and perform/document AIMS evaluations at least every six months when indicated.
3. Review and sign treatment plans, reviews, and other related documents as required by regulations or third-party insurers.
4. Initiate Baker Act involuntary treatment documents and facilitate inpatient admissions when necessary.
5. Provide consultation to staff on diagnosis, treatment planning, and referral options.
6. Offer staff training as scheduled and supervise residents, medical students, ARNPs, and PAs.
7. Review medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic reports, referring clients for follow-up care as needed.
8. Collaborate with other physicians and clinical staff to ensure effective client care.
