Job description

We are seeking a BC/BE Adult Psychiatrist and a Director for the 29-bed Adult Psychiatry inpatient unit. The position will include both administrative and clinical responsibilities.

Unit Details:

1. Adult unit: 29 beds for patients aged 18 to 55 years
2. Geriatric unit: 18 beds for patients aged 55 years and older
3. ECT inpatient and outpatient services
4. Inpatient acute care consultation
5. Outpatient psychological and psychiatric counseling, including:

• Family/marital problems
• Stress management
• Anxiety/panic
• Depression
• Pain management
• Mediation management

Outpatient drug and alcohol services, including comprehensive assessments, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment, traditional outpatient services, and community prevention education

EAP services

Nursing home consultation for 5 local nursing homes

Involvement of 2 Physician Assistants in inpatient and outpatient care

Family Practice Residents on call for the general hospital, available during evening shifts for medical emergencies and face-to-face evaluations for restraints
