Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Adult Psychiatrist Job

Clinical Role:

• Seeking a board-certified or truly board-eligible adult psychiatrist for a permanent outpatient position.
• Join a team that includes 3 psychiatrists (2 part-time, including one Child/Adolescent), 3 psychologists, 3 psychotherapists, and currently recruiting for 1 psychiatry nurse practitioner.
• No call or weekend responsibilities.
• Provide adult psychiatry services (age 18+) in an outpatient clinic setting, with the option to see patients under age 18 if desired.
• Conduct nursing home rounds 1-2 times per month.
• The department does not provide after-hours call coverage to the hospital or ED, but offers ED and inpatient consultations upon limited request. The local crises team supports ED patients.
• Opportunities for outreach at other Essentia Health clinics within daytime driving distance.
• Telemedicine services may be implemented in the future for outpatient care.
• Appointment times include: Med Checks and Rechecks 20-30 minutes; New Patients 60 minutes.
