Psychiatry Regional Medical Director opening - Bristol, TN
Located on the VA/TN border - 23m to Kingsport, 55m to Boone, NC
Weekdays: Monday - Friday (8-hour days)
Call: 1-in-6 (Regional Call Model)
Weekends: 1 weekend per month of on-site rounding
The facility accommodates 28 patients and features a multi-purpose treatment room, group therapy, recreational therapy, a kitchen, laundry, offices, and work areas. It offers various therapeutic modalities including:
The unit provides short-term stabilization and treatment for adults with inpatient needs, aiming to return patients to a manageable outpatient level. It operates 24/7, accepting referrals from Community Service Boards and voluntary admissions from Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN. Family, community, and court collaboration facilitate patient reintegration.
