Job summary

Balanced Wellbeing Nationwide is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to deliver high-quality psychiatric care in long-term care settings, including skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across Vermont in the Bennington area.

You will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams while ensuring timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Licensed PMHNP with psychiatry background.
• Interest in psychopharmacology and long-term care settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments.
• Diagnose and treat mental health conditions through evidence-based medication management.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests as appropriate.
• Participate in GDR and psychotropic medication review meetings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, facility staff, and families.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
• Meet daily productivity and encounter expectations.
• Respond to facility needs as appropriate (no formal on-call).

Compensation & Benefits

(In compliance with Vermont pay transparency requirements)

• Base Salary Range: $130,000 – $140,000 annually (commensurate with experience and licensure)
• Performance Bonuses: Up to $40,000 quarterly
• Educational Incentives: Up to $1,500
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $2,000 (select candidates)

What You’ll Do

As a PMHNP with Balanced Wellbeing, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients in long-term care settings, including skilled nursing and assisted living facilities:

Schedule & Work Setting

• Monday–Friday, daytime hours
• No weekends or holidays
• Work in skilled nursing, long-term care, and assisted living facilities
• Minimal regional travel within the Bennington area
