Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Psychiatric LVN in Visalia, CA. This contract-full-time role involves applying the nursing process and delivering patient care in a psychiatric unit within a hospital or behavioral health facility.

You will collaborate with the care team and be supervised by a Registered Nurse. The position requires a current LPN license in the state of assignment, CPR if applicable, and a preference for 1 year of psychiatric/behavioral health experience.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state of assignment.
• 1 year of psychiatric/behavioral health setting experience preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to deliver patient care in psychiatric units or mental/behavioral health settings.
• Make clinical judgments under supervision of a registered nurse and in collaboration with the care team.

The Psychiatric orMental/Behavioral Health LPN is responsible and accountable for the applicationof the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the psychiatric unitof a hospital, mental health/behavioral health hospital, or they can be responsiblefor care in community settings.

The LPN must demonstrate the ability to make clinicaljudgments in an effective and efficient manner with the supervision of aRegistered Nurse and in collaboration with the care team.

Minimum Requirements

• Current LPN license in state of assignment
• 1 year experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health caresetting preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
