Job summary

THRIVE in Poplar Bluff, MO is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to collaborate with providers and a multidisciplinary team to deliver client care and coordinate the psychiatrist’s/nurse practitioner’s daily activities.

The role includes performing vitals, managing medication inventory, processing refill requests, lab result follow-up, prior authorizations, and patient education while ensuring CARF/DMH standards compliance and adherence to agency policies.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed LPN or RN.
• Psychiatric/Behavioral Health experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic nursing assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform vitals.
• Weekly inventory updates and quarterly reports with RN assistance.
• Process refill requests from pharmacies.
• Collect blood/urine as requested by prescribers.
• Request lab results and follow up on results.
• Call in prescriptions and refills as directed by prescribers.
• Manage patient assistance for all medications.
• Complete prior authorizations for Medicare/Medicaid/insurances.
• Answer calls and emails regarding medications and notify prescribers of adverse reactions.
• Handle records and discharge summaries as requested by prescribers.
• Perform metabolic screenings and TB testing as needed.
