Job summary

The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) seeks a Clinical Nurse Manager for Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare in Northfield, OH. You will lead the Nursing Department under the DON, supervise nursing staff, and ensure expert patient education and care coordination within an interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold an Ohio RN license with extensive psychiatric nursing and leadership experience, including supervision and program development.

Qualifications

• Requires current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio; 36+ months experience in psychiatric nursing or delivery of nursing services to persons with DD; completion of undergraduate core program in nursing; supervision/management experience.
• OR the equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications may be substituted but licensure is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Clinical Nurse Manager under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON).
• Assist the DON in organizing and administering the Nursing Department.
• Supervise psychiatric nurse supervisors and direct/supervise licensed and non-licensed nursing staff.
• Act for DON in his/her absence.
• Communicate/collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and other clinical disciplines.
• Develop and oversee patient education by all clinical disciplines.
• Develop an annual plan for professional improvement.
• Monitor and train nursing staff.

What you’ll do at DBH

This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of #16 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule.

Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (Flexible Schedule).

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
