Job summary

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services in Phoenix seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide psychiatric care in our Crisis and Recovery Unit. This 12-hour shift unit operates 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am in a secure, non-hospital setting.

You will work with adults, supervise the crisis unit, and collaborate with the psychiatric prescriber, delivering recovery-based services while maintaining documentation and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Arizona nursing license is required.
• One to two years of psychiatric nursing experience.
• Pre-employment physical examination and TB test required.
• Community-based psychiatric practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care to adults in crisis.
• Work in a 24-hour locked facility with 12-hour shifts.
• Collaborate with the psychiatric prescriber and care team.
• Document services and treatment participation.
• De-escalate agitated participants and families.
