Job summary

Mind 24-7 in Mesa, AZ seeks a Crisis Registered Nurse (RN) for night shifts to stabilize patients in acute psychiatric distress within a fast-paced crisis setting. You’ll provide direct care to children, adolescents, and adults, perform assessments, administer medications, and participate in multidisciplinary planning.

Qualifications

• Active RN license issued by state board
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric/behavioral health or crisis care experience
• Must have Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or eligible to obtain
• Ability to work in a crisis environment with diverse populations
• Experience with children and adolescents in behavioral health settings
• Proficient in EMR documentation and psychiatric record-keeping

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments with precise documentation
• Administer medications per facility protocols and document accurately
• Monitor and report behavioral and medical changes in patients
• Participate in patient treatment planning as part of the multidisciplinary team
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatments, and medications
• Apply verbal de-escalation and therapeutic intervention techniques in crisis situations
• Adhere to seclusion and restraint standards and proper documentation
• Document all patient care timely in the system
• Perform lab draws and wound care as ordered
• Float across clinical services within the market as needed
• Attend required supervision sessions and complete trainings
• Perform other duties as assigned
