Job summary

• Stay current on pediatric psychopharmacology and coordinate with the team psychiatrist.

• Complete clinical charting and related administrative paperwork.

Job Description Summary

Provides mental health therapy services to clients in a behavioral health agency setting, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote recovery and improve overall well-being.

Essential Functions:

• Assists in developing specific, realistic, and measurable treatment goals and objectives.


• Accurately assesses and documents client presenting problems, history, symptomology, mental status, and diagnosis.


• Prescribes initial interventions in a timely manner.


• Employs strategies of intervention that are consistent with empirically supported treatments and consistent with program expectations.


• Remains current in general knowledge of psychopharmacology in pediatric behavioral healthcare and collaborates consistently with team psychiatrist.


• Coordinates client care with other service providers and community resources to assure continuity of care.


• Completes clinical charting and other related administrative paperwork in accordance with policy standards.

Education Requirement: Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and FamilyTherapy, required. Doctorate, preferred.

Licensure Requirement: Appropriate Independent Ohio License, preferred.

Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, peers and community representatives.

Experience: Experienceproviding and managing behavioral healthcare to children, adolescent and families, required.
