Job summary

GSP Health seeks a Psychiatric Clinical Assistant to provide support and care management for patients receiving treatment from the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. The role acts as a liaison between medical, behavioral, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

You will assist with intake procedures, routine measurements, and lab tasks, while coordinating communication across teams and triaging patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• On-the-job training, previous experience preferred.
• Personal maturity, cooperation, and ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintains first line contact with all patients who come into clinic and walks the patient through the Psychiatric Intake procedures.
• Performs routine intake procedures such as height, weight, temperature, pulse, blood pressure readings, and brief assessments as needed.
• Assists with laboratory procedures as requested by the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Assists with office procedures.
• Triages patients who will be seen by the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Assists the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with patient care.
• Relieves other departments as time permits.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
