Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis seeks a Psychiatric Assistant to join the Behavioral Float Pool. The team supports child/adolescent, adult, and senior patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
The role features a night shift on 12-hour schedules (7:00PM–7:30AM) with every third weekend, and is SEIU benefit eligible. You will help provide patient care and maintain a therapeutic environment on assigned units.
We at Fairview are looking for a Psychiatric Assistant to join our outstanding Behavioral Float Pool! All Psych Associates and RNs report to a nurse manager. The float pool consists of approximately 30 RNs and 60 Psych Associates; and serves a wide spectrum of patients within the Behavioral Health department including child/adolescents, adults, and seniors.
We are conveniently located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis!
This role is approved for 60 hours, every two weeks on the night shift, 7:00PM - 7:30AM, working 12 hour shifts and every third weekend with a variable schedule. This position is SEIU benefit eligible.
The Psych Associate is responsible for the delivery of patient care and promotion of a therapeutic environment as delegated by and under the direction of the Registered Nurse so that goals and objectives of treatment are achieved on each unit as assigned.
