Job summary

Directions for Living in Clearwater, FL is seeking a full-time Psychiatric APRN to provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults with behavioral health issues. You will work with the Medical Director and a team of clinicians to ensure accurate assessments, formulate treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation in the electronic health record.

The role requires active Florida APRN license with PMHNP certification and a valid Florida DEA number.

Qualifications

• Licensed APRN/PMHNP with Florida license and DEA number.
• Experience in prescribing psychotropic medications for adults.
• Proficient with Avatar EHR and Telehealth platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults with behavioral health issues.
• Collaborate with Medical Director, other Providers, and Clinicians to ensure quality client care.
• Prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, interpret results, educate patients, and document in the EHR.

Salary: $62.50/hour- for 0-5 years’ experience as an APRN, $67.30/hour- for 5+ years’ experience as an APRN.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a responsible position requiring clinical, psychiatric, medical, and administrative duties. The Psychiatric APRN will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to adult clients with behavioral health issues. The Psychiatric APRN will work collaboratively with the Medical Director, other Providers and Clinicians to provide quality client assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, interpret test results, provide patient education, and documentation via the electronic health records system per statutes, regulations and protocols regulating the profession. The APRN will also work in collaboration with a Medical Assistant to coordinate client care. THIS IS AN OFFICE BASED POSITION.

Full-time Psychiatric APRNs are required to consistently meet the minimum client-facing client care hours/billable hours per month.

Directions for Living is an essential services provider. All Directions for Living Team Members must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic, or other disaster situation.

Qualifications

• Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/ Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and certification required.
• Florida Nursing License
• Must have a valid/current Florida DEA Number
• Must have expert knowledge in prescribing psychotropic medications to treat a wide variety of severe and persistent mental illnesses in adults.
• Must be proficient in Avatar or other electronic health record.
• Must be able to use Telehealth platform for service delivery, and for team and individual supervision as needed.
