ReGenesis Health Care in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver high-quality behavioral health care within a Federally Qualified Health Center.

You will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage mental health conditions for adults and children, with collaboration across an integrated care team. Excellent salary up to $115,000 with sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted South Carolina licensure or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Current national board certification.
• Prescriptive authority and DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to evaluate and treat both adult and pediatric behavioral health patients.
• Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), community health center, or underserved setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnose acute and chronic behavioral health conditions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for patients with mild to severe mental health disorders.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications and other treatments within the scope of practice.
• Order, review, and interpret appropriate laboratory tests and diagnostic studies.
• Obtain and document relevant medical, psychiatric, social, and medication histories.
• Assess treatment response, medication effectiveness, side effects, adherence, and safety concerns.
• Provide patient and family education, counseling, and health promotion related to behavioral and mental health needs.
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, specialists, community resources, and other members of the care team.
• Make timely and appropriate referrals when a patient requires a higher level of care or specialty services.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) in accordance with organizational policies and clinical standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all applicable clinical, regulatory, and organizational requirements.

What You’ll Do

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional program with dedicated training or work experience leading to psychiatric-mental health care preparation.
• Current, unrestricted South Carolina licensure, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Current national board certification through an accepted certifying body.
• Prescriptive authority and DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain, as required for the role.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to evaluate and treat both adult and pediatric behavioral health patients.
• Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), community health center, or underserved setting is preferred.
• Psychiatric specific training is preferred but not required.
