Forest View Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, invites applications for a Psych RN. This part-time role offers 24 hours weekly (12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm) to deliver compassionate psychiatric nursing care to adolescents and adults.

The position emphasizes leadership, crisis management, and collaborative patient care planning. Eligible candidates bring RN licensure in Michigan and a background in psychiatric nursing; CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• 6–12 months of Psych Nursing preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan.
• Demonstrates clinical competency in general nursing care.
• CPR/Handle With Care certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Promotes a warm and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
• Responds to questions in a respectful manner and reports concerns promptly.
• Acts as back-up point of contact for direction when the Charge is unavailable.
• Provides leadership to staff in crisis behavioral management.
• Develops an initial nursing treatment plan for admitted patients.
• Assesses and delivers care for patients with co-occurring disorders, trauma, and eating disorders.
• Leads discharge planning and supports patients at time of discharge.
