Job summary

Forest View Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Psych RN for the weekend day shift. This part-time position offers 24 hours per week with 12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm.

The RN will provide nursing care across adolescent and adult psychiatric populations, participating in care planning, crisis management, and discharge planning as part of a mission-driven team. Michigan RN licensure is required; weekend premium pay applies.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Michigan, required.
• Psych nursing experience preferred (6–12 months).
• CPR/Handle With Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a warm and welcoming environment, provides training and guidance to new RNs.
• Acts as back-up point of contact for direction of other unit staff when Charge is unavailable.
• Provides leadership to staff in crisis behavioral management.
• Develops initial nursing treatment plans using the nursing process.
• Delivers care for patients with co-occurring disorders, eating disorders, and trauma backgrounds.
• Maintains safe and therapeutic milieu and assists with discharge planning.
