Psychiatric RN Job Details – Lynn, Massachusetts

Job Title: Locum Tenens Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Lynn, MA 01904 (Greater Boston Area)
Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Contract)
Healthcare Setting: Transitional Support Services (TSS) – Male patient population in detox/early recovery
Start Date: October 6, 2025
End Date: January 3, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Saturday & Sunday (4 hours/day, flexible hours)
Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours per week (4 hours each on Saturday and Sunday)
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2300-$2360

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS and CPR certifications
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred)
Experience with addiction treatment or substance abuse services is a plus
COVID-19 vaccination series and booster required
Must have at least 6 months separation from BILH to be eligible

Psychiatric RN Responsibilities

Deliver 24-hour nursing care to monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms from alcohol and/or drugs
Document and report patient symptoms, reactions to treatment, and changes in safety status
Administer medications and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Maintain accurate medical records and provide patient health education
Assist with activities of daily living and foster a positive therapeutic environment
Support admitting, discharge, and patient transfer processes
Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to individualized care plans
