The ideal candidate will bring strong psychiatric expertisealong with a solid medical foundation and the clinical confidence to evaluate the whole patient.

The PMHNP works collaboratively with physicians, nursing, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and other members of the treatment team to assess patients, manage psychiatric and medical concerns within scope of practice, monitor treatment response, and support continuity of care throughout the patient's rehabilitation journey.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a provider who understands that psychiatric symptoms don't occur in isolation. The strongest candidate will be comfortable evaluating howmedical conditions, neurological injuries, medications, psychiatric diagnoses, cognition, and behavior intersect in a medically complex rehabilitation population.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner or master's degree in Nursing with completion of a post-master's Nurse Practitioner certification program.

  • Ability to participate in required behavioral management and de-escalation training.
Preferred Experience
  • 3–5 years of Nurse Practitioner experience in a medically complex patient population.
  • Experience ininpatient, hospital, rehabilitation, long-term care, neurorehabilitation, or other medically intensive settings strongly preferred.
  • Experience treating individuals with traumatic or acquired brain injury, neurological disorders, neurobehavioral conditions, or complex behavioral health needs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing patients withboth psychiatric and significant medical comorbidities.
  • Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Behavioral management certification or training such as SAMA, ABA, PIP, or similar programs is preferred.
The Candidate Who Will Thrive Here

You may be a great fit if you're a PMHNP who started your career in a strong medical environment—such as acute care, inpatient nursing, critical care, rehabilitation, or another setting requiring hands-on medical assessment and later expanded into psychiatric care.

We're looking for someone who can confidently manage behavioral and psychiatric needs while recognizing when a change in behavior may actually be driven by an underlyingmedical or neurological issue.

If you enjoy complex patients, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practicing beyond the traditional outpatient psychiatry model, we'd like to hear from you.
