Job summary

Oceans Healthcare is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a psychiatric/acute setting. The RN is expected to lead milieu management, assess patients, and develop individualized care plans while ensuring safe medication administration and accurate documentation.

Role includes working 12-hour rotating shifts with holiday coverage; Compact licenses are acceptable. A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with inpatient hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Compact licenses are acceptable where applicable.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process to create individualized care plans.
• Administer medications safely and provide medication education.
• Document patient progress thoroughly and accurately.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure continuity of care and timely reporting.
• Maintain licensure, pursue ongoing professional development, and adhere to policies.
• Float across clinical services as needed and support team members.
